Three classic G-Shock looks have been given a new coat of (spray) paint in the new G-Shock Skater Flavour Series. The new release includes the round-cased GA700SC, ‘CasiOak’ representative GA2110SC, and classic DW5610SC square.
It’s great that these three Casio G-Shocks come in such familiar designs, because the new colourways are very unique. G-Shock has been bold in their styling, which is something we love to see, and you can definitely see the skater inspiration in the models.
If you’re a fan of skater-style clothing and don’t mind spending time on the ‘board, then you are going to love these Skater Flavour G-Shock watches. G-Shock Skater Flavour GA700SC-3A
The large case edition of the Skater Flavour Series might be our favourite, but then again, there’s something to be said about the striking orange in the other models. Even still, the GA700SC-3A is not at all subtle, which is what we love about it.
G-Shock has gone for a pine green bezel, highlighted with an orange ‘G-Shock’ label. It’s a high-contrast colourway, but it works. The black of the dial evens the palette out smartly, with lots of texture and depth as you’d expect from this common G-Shock frame.
The size of this watch is extreme, and there’s no doubt it makes a massive statement when worn. Thankfully, it looks great and the comfort level you expect from a G-Shock is there.
When you consider the style, 200m water resistance, and shock resistance together, you can see that this is a very strong sports watch. It’s going to be great for skating, swimming, running, or just about anything, which makes it a worthwhile purchase.

G-Shock Skater Flavour GA2110SC-4A ‘CasiOak’
Sporting the octagonal bezel of the beloved ‘CasiOak’ series, the GA2110SC-4A brings a lot to the table. Its radiant orange colour will catch your attention, but the pine green colour cools the look off nicely with a punk contrast.
The ‘G-Shock’ and ‘Protection’ labels are coloured in white to cut through the green bezel. This frame is thinner and sharper than the round bezel edition, and again features the black dial to finish the palette.

G-Shock Skater Flavour DW5610SC-2
The third release in the Skater Flavour collection comes in a vibrant dark blue and signature orange. This is the smallest and darkest in colour of the three watches, making it a slightly more subtle choice. Even still, the blue and orange combo is eye-catching and very different to your average watch.
‘Square’ G-Shock watches (interestingly shaped more like rectangles) are classic. Many of the original Casio watches had this design, and it’s exciting to see how the look has evolved into what it is now. The DW5610SC-2 is one the most unique takes on the style, which makes it a very fun wear.
This smaller model is super comfortable, and packs all the punch of the larger two Skater Flavour watches. The only missing feature is the world time adjustment, which is missed a little, but does’t take away much from the utility of this timepiece.

Final Thoughts
The G-Shock Skater Flavour series is a unique one, but it’s a lot of fun. These three digital watches are really out there, in terms of colours and the variety in style G-Shock has gone for. It's not every day you see a new collection with such contrast in colour, shape, and even function.
Because of the variety, you’ll have to pay attention to which G-Shock watch fits you best. Is it the larger GA700SC-3A in pine green? Or the bright GA2110SC-4A ‘CasiOak’? If you’re happy to slim down, you might even choose the DW5610SC-2 Square.
At the price point, these unique watches are certainly worth the purchase as they offer a lot of practicality. It’s just good to see G-Shock continue their wave of inspired new watches. The Skater Flavour Series is available now on Watch Depot!
