Introducing the Casio G-Shock GA100RGB-1 Garish Rainbow Gamers watch. And no, we haven’t added the term “garish” ourselves - Casio have included themselves, which we find quite funny. Garish means obtrusive, bright and showy, which this watch does do, except there are definitely other G-Shock watches that match this description more.

The Dial
When you first glance at this watch, you will instantly be drawn to the awesome colours that act as a backdrop for a chronograph display and two digital windows. The incredible colour gradient with metallic finish is created using a process called vapour deposition that involves depositing a thin layer of material onto a substrate using a vacuum chamber. Vapour deposition is a highly precise and effective method for creating durable and attractive coatings on watch components, which is what gives the watch its refined finish.
Looking at the dial, the top features an electric blue hue that is really eye-catching and contrasts the black case effortlessly. Going down from this, we are treated to pops of purple, green and yellow that eventually fade away at the bottom of the face.
We also get a fun hint of colour on the hands. The tips of the hour and minute hands are embellished with a groovy bright green colour with a dash of Lume that really lets them stand out. Although, don’t expect too much from the Lume - in this piece it's more for visual effect than practicality in low lighting.
The Case and Strap
In this watch, we get to enjoy a stainless steel case back along with the reliability and durability of resin for the case and strap. Finished in a glossy black finish, it has almost a latex finish - so if that is something that you’re into, you should definitely jump onto this G-Shock ASAP.
This is a larger timepiece that fits snug on the wrist despite its size, which is something that Casio is expert at achieving. From Lug-to-lug, the watch measures 55mm with a diameter of 51.2mm and a thickness of 16.9mm ensuring that it makes a statement on the wrist.
The strap is comfortable for all-day wear and is equipped with a double prong clasp and buckle to give you added piece of mind.
