Since its debut in 1983, G-SHOCK has consistently evolved in its pursuit of ultimate toughness. This collection draws inspiration from origami, the traditional Japanese art form. Much like the creation of durable and beautiful washi paper—which expanded the possibilities of origami—these models embody the freedom and craftsmanship that come from transforming a single sheet of paper.
The bezel and band incorporate origami-inspired details, featuring dotted-line motifs that represent classic valley and mountain folds, while the textured finish evokes the look and feel of washi paper. Both the backlight and case back display a crane—the most iconic origami figure—symbolizing endless possibilities emerging from one sheet of paper.
Staying true to the theme, these models are made in Japan and come in special packaging designed to complement the origami concept.
Additionally, key resin components of the bezel and band are made from bio-based resin, derived from renewable organic resources to help reduce environmental impact.
