The easy-grip aluminum ring encircles the dial, luminous hands, and markers, while the case back proudly displays an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. Excellent diver for medium to larger wrist

First and foremost, great quality watch.
Having a 7.5 inch wrist, I’ve found that Seiko et al (40 to 42mm diametre) watches wore small on me. The watch face within the bezel was difficult to read with my aging eyesight.
This Fugu is excellent for viewing purposes and wears perfectly for my wrist dimensions.
The silicon(?) strap is extremely comfortable. It has a slight stretch to it which helps the comfort if you like the watch to wear firm on your wrist.
The bezel lines up perfectly with no backplate.
My only con is, the date window is difficult to read under most circumstances
All-in-all, an affordable, comfortable and visually appealing watch. A great alternative to Seiko 5 models if you wish for a watch with slightly larger proportions.

Clean, classic reliability and great looks!

This is is probably the best bang-for-buck divers watch available at this price point- nothing else comes close that has sapphire, automatic movement, timeless design with the added feature of 200m water resist and left sided crown- particularly if you’re actually going to put this piece to work. No more callouses or persistent digging into your hand from the knurled crown and conversely great purchase from the knurled crown when you need to set the time- no slipping or breaking nails try in to unscrew it. The 41mm is great for smaller wrists but this 44mm is a winner. Wear it to poker in Monaco or deep diving on an oil rig and it’ll look the part as well as deliver faithfully.
